What Is Mobile Marketing?

If we ask about mobile marketing from anyone then we may get different types of responses from everyone. The answers could include advertising through mobile, advertising through email, advertising through brand campaigning and the list goes on. If we keep on thinking about the ways than we can find out various ways through which it can be termed as mobile marketing. Mobile marketing is the part of a business activity where a specific plan and the execution of the designed plan are done so that purchasers and suppliers approach jointly to complete a deal after the purchaser gets the information about a specific product through a mobile device. These mobile devices could be mobile phones or laptop etc. One of the examples is House4Cell advertising group called Cellit Mobile marketing. They are one of the best companies who are in the field of mobile marketing. They are doing a great business in the market including various types of real estate deals.  Here we are going to discuss some basic things of mobile marketing.

(1)   It is an individual promotion: – We can say about mobile marketing that it is the first actual type of individual promotion. Whenever we receive message on the mobile then it is obvious that we will not think that it could be a marketing message. We will think that might be a friend or colleague have done the message. Though it could be a marketing message. It simply explains that the person who has done the message to you has chosen your number especially for the marketing. They are contacting to you individually.

(2)   It is the new type of advertising: – Mobile marketing is still in their early days. People are talking about mobile marketing only from their experiences. The way of dealing between the purchaser and seller could be different after a purchaser gets some information about the product. The whole strategy of marketing depends on the marketers which they think to be fruitful.

Just to prove your point, I’m going to add my own spin to the definition of Mobile Marketing…

I think the industry is generally thinking mobile phones when defining mobile marketing. (not so much lap top) Web, of course can be accessed via both, but a mobile optimized site is needed when using a phone.

Your point about individualized promotion is on target. We call that one-to-one marketing. Keep in mind, too, that it’s permission based. The recipient either has to go out seeking your mobile optimized site, or in the case of SMS (texting) they have to opt-in to receive your message.

Speaking directly to SMS and MMS (one is texting, the other is video or audio via texting…simply put) the message is effective because it is (1) brief. With only 160 characters to work with, the recipient knows it will be a brief / painless message (2) trusted. What’s more personal than one’s mobile phone.? It’s considered a trusted source. Since the message is permission based and users are given the opportunity to opt-out every time, the message must also be (3) timely and (4) relevant. Send spam and you’ll just get a bunch of opt-outs. Marketers are careful, therefore, to send meaningful content.

Tons more to say about mobile, but I already broke rule #1…be brief.
