Seminars And Business Success

Even as one tries to find innovative and new ways to market products and keep the company profile high, the advent of technology and the Internet space has provided new food for thought. Even as entrepreneurs try to jostle for business place and a piece of the market pie, there are certain protocols and ways to maintain the company profile and enhance its reputation, without any cutthroat marketing gimmick.

An age old tradition of company and customer relationship building is the familiar event of holding seminars and information sharing meetings whereby the company agenda and balance sheet can be discussed threadbare in a comfortable setting with representation of the customers and subscribers as well as the company representatives.

There are certain things not to be overlooked while holding a seminar.

Location: It is imperative the setting should be comfortable to all those in attendance. Booking a seminar hall in a good hotel according to the budget is a good way to ensure comfortable surroundings. Checking out the microphone and the food is a good idea as they are the mainstay of any business gathering. The speakers must be heard and tea breaks and/or lunch/dinner is a good gauge of the success of the seminar! If one is planning lunch/dinner ,then it is a good idea to have a vegetarian recipe as well ,since one might not want to risk offending a valued vegetarian client!

Prepaying the bills might be a bit risky as the services may be mired in some complacency. So partial prepayment with a eye for details will help. Even the placement of flowers in the podium may reflect on the meeting outcome!

Transportation to move the guests to and from the seminar venue might have to be considered sometime and may influence the time of the day the seminar is held, although it is a good idea to have a morning start to the seminar.

Giving good representation of both the company and the shareholders or customers is a golden rule and each must be given time and heard to have a healthy discussion.

Sending out invites well in advance, a few months being a good idea. As the delegates and invitees have to make travel/accommodation arrangements, one needs to make invitations early. Sometimes it is difficult to find accommodations, so scouring around for agreeable accommodation both for budget and comfort is good idea to generate participation.

Taking note of any coinciding event at the same place early, may allow for rescheduling or getting the hotel bookings in order.

The printing of the seminar schedule is important as the participants will then know their own role as well as find it easy to communicate and move around in the seminar venue.

Having a web pod cast or a webinar simultaneously will massively increase the participation and make the discussions livelier.

Photography and video recording along with press releases are other things that might need to be considered.

Another important consideration is the way the seminar is build up. If it has to be an annual seminar, the statistics and data are important. Similarly an emergency seminar would have a different agenda, as for example to generate cash or turnkey decisions.

Now keeping a good manager to manage the event is a good idea, as the success of the business will ultimately depend on how the event develops and the growth of interpersonal relationships among the company members or customers.
